Travelling Light is a theatre company and children’s charity that over the last 37 years has sparked the creative journey of more than one million children and young people in Barton Hill, Bristol and beyond. Their mission? To create outstanding theatre for and with young people that inspires their thinking, engages their emotions and fires their imaginations.

Do you share the belief that every child has the right to create, imagine and experience great stories? Would you like to bring your skills and experience to make a real difference to a Bristol-based charity and the young people they work with?

Previous experience of Governance is not necessary and Travelling Light welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences who share their charitable aims and belief in children’s entitlement to creativity, imagination and great stories told through theatre.

Though not essential, individuals with any of the following skills and experiences – whether through work, volunteering or lived experience – are warmly encouraged to apply:

• Community Development and/or Early Years/Primary or Secondary Education
• Finance/budget management
• Marketing and communication
• People management (HR)
• Experience of fundraising and philanthropy

Off The Record (OTR) is more than a charity - it's a mental health social movement by and for young people.

OTR is a diverse and progressive organisation working to support young people with their mental health through a wide range of dedicated projects covering Gender and Sexuality, Race, Ethnicity and Culture, supported 1:1 therapies commissioned by NHS providers, and many other targeted projects for young people.

Now, to help realise their 'Reaching Further' operational plan, OTR are looking for:

• 1 x TREASURER
• 1 x VICE CHAIR/CHAIR DESIGNATE

Are you an experienced finance professional?

Do you have previous board experience and knowledge of third sector governance? 

Your skills and experience will strengthen the board and help OTR impact thousands of young people’s lives as you guide efforts to create sustainable income growth and improve the quality of their work.

Founded in 1999, Life Cycle UK is an award-winning charity that works with over 9,000 people every year, offering practical support to build independence and help them get cycling. Among the charity’s award-winning projects are schemes enabling blind and visually impaired people to enjoy the benefits of tandem bike riding, cycling groups for over 55s, youth projects, and bike-mechanics workshops that offer prisoners life-changing skills and experiences to help them both in and out of prison. 

Now, Life Cycle UK are looking to expand the skillset of its board with several new trustees and up to 2 Vice chairs. In particular, they are looking for people with knowledge and experience in:

• Digital
• Legal
• Property 
• Working at a senior level
