With the festive season in full swing, welcome to our seasonally themed and end of year newsletter.

As always, BeOnBoard has bags full of good news and Boardroom opportunities to unwrap. From winning awards and having an empowering team away day to welcoming more new team members, launching our annual pulse survey, and of course a variety of fantastic Board and salaried roles. But before that, we wanted to tell you about a super exciting new role with the award-winning Travelling Light Theatre.

Finance/budget management
Marketing and communication
People management (HR)
Experience of fundraising and philanthropy

WINNING WITH DIVERSITY

Earlier this month BeOnBoard were chuffed to pieces when our founder and CEO graciously accepted the Stepping Up Award for its 'Unique Contribution to Diversity'. Hosted by Business West and Chaya Chakrabarti at the fantastic Ashton Gate Stadium, the whole event was themed around ED&I. There were inspiring speeches and provocations from the Lord Lieutenant for Bristol Peaches Golding, the recently launched Leadership Partnership and BeOnBoard alumni Kam Govind. With a room packed with leaders from the commercial, charity and community sector, Kalpna finished off the evening with a powerful call to action.

“Bristol is a great city. My adopted city. A city that I am proud to call home. However, if Bristol is ever to full fill its potential as a leading world-class city, it must do better when it comes to tapping into the talent pool of leaders from the 91 different language communities spoken in this city. ASPIRE, INSPIRE, TRANSFORM

As mentioned in our last newsletter, ASPIRE is BeOnBoard’s new leadership development project for the Voluntary, Charity & Social Enterprise sector. This shadowing and mentoring scheme is aimed at matching eight emerging Board leaders of colour with four organisations keen to diversify their Boards. Whether you are an aspiring person of colour looking to progress your Board career, an experienced Board member who can mentor the next generation or a Board looking to diversify, we would love to hear from you. As you all know, it is that time of year again. As part of our annual pulse survey, BeOnBoard is keen to stay up to date with the most important aspect of our business which is you.
